Common questions before you book
Reservations
Q.When do I need to book by?
Online reservations accepted until 12:00 noon the day before your experience. For same-day or last-minute bookings, please contact us directly by phone, Instagram DM, or email.
Q.Can I join alone?
Yes, solo participants are welcome. Each time slot accommodates up to 8 guests.
Q.Can I book on the same day?
We recommend booking at least one day in advance. Same-day availability may be checked by contacting us via phone, Instagram DM, or email.
Q.What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation or changes up to 2 days before your booking. Cancellations on the previous day or the day of the experience may incur a cancellation fee. Details are in your confirmation email.
Pricing & Experience
Q.How much does it cost?
¥3,500 per person (tax included). The wooden box engraving option is available for an additional ¥500 per person.
Q.How long is the experience?
Approximately 60 minutes. Time slots run from 10:00 to 17:00, with 8 one-hour slots available each day.
Q.What courses can I choose from?
Two courses: incense stick course or scent sachet course. Same price, fully customizable with natural fragrance materials.
Q.What is the engraving option?
We can engrave your name or a short message on the wooden box — perfect for anniversaries, gifts, or wedding favors. Available in alphabet, kanji, and hiragana.
Access & Day Of
Q.Where is the nearest station?
About 10 minutes walk from JR Hakata Station (Hakata exit). Address: Honjima Building 4F, 3-5-20 Hakataekimae, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka. Also walkable from Gion Subway Station.
Q.Is there parking?
We don't have private parking. Please use one of the coin parking lots around Hakata Station if driving.
Q.What should I bring?
Nothing specific. All tools are provided. Just wear comfortable clothes.
Q.Can I bring my children?
Children aged 6 and above are welcome with a guardian. Due to the fragrance materials, we kindly ask that infants not accompany.
Safety & Allergies
Q.I have fragrance allergies. Can I still participate?
Please email us in advance at info@tsutsumu-incense.com. We'll share a list of ingredients we use so you can participate safely.
Q.Can I participate while pregnant?
Yes, expectant mothers are welcome. We use only natural fragrances, so you can enjoy the experience with peace of mind. That said, sensitivity to strong scents can vary during pregnancy, so please listen to your body and let us know if you feel unwell on the day. If you have any concerns, feel free to email us at info@tsutsumu-incense.com in advance.

Q.What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, credit cards (VISA / Mastercard / JCB / AMEX), PayPay, and transit IC cards.
Q.Do you accept foreign currency?
We don't accept direct foreign currency payments. We recommend credit card for international guests.
